Description

These crispy Air Fryer Banana Peppers are an easy 3-ingredient snack or appetizer with a golden, flavorful coating. They make a delicious topping for pizza and salads or can be served with ranch dressing for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 lb fresh banana peppers or sweet peppers, sliced and seeds removed
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, ground black pepper, and sea salt.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F.
  3. Dip the sliced banana peppers into the seasoned flour, coating them well. Let them sit for 5 minutes so the coating becomes thicker.
  4. Place the coated banana peppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray both sides generously with olive oil.
  5. Air fry for 8 minutes, or until the peppers are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Transfer the banana peppers to a baking sheet lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil. Let them cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve on a platter or in a bowl with ranch dressing for dipping, or use as a topping for pizza and salads.

Notes

  • Arrange the peppers in a single layer so they cook evenly and become crisp.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  • Fresh banana peppers can be replaced with sweet peppers.
  • Serve immediately for the best crispy texture.
