Description

Make weeknight dinners easy with this Bang Bang Chicken Bake. Tender chicken breasts are seasoned with paprika, garlic, salt, and pepper, coated in flavorful Bang Bang sauce, and baked until juicy and delicious. Ready in about 25 minutes, this easy dinner is perfect served over brown rice with extra sauce drizzled on top.

Ingredients

  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 1/2 pounds total)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups (336 g) Bang Bang sauce, divided
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Cooked brown rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Slice each breast in half horizontally to create 6 thinner cutlets.
  3. Arrange the chicken cutlets on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and rub it evenly over both sides.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken.
  5. Arrange the chicken in a single layer. Spoon 1 cup of Bang Bang sauce over the chicken, spreading it to coat each piece. Reserve the remaining sauce for serving.
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Remove the chicken from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  8. Serve over cooked brown rice with the reserved Bang Bang sauce drizzled on top.

Notes

  • Chicken: Slicing the chicken breasts horizontally creates thinner, evenly sized cutlets that cook quickly and evenly.
  • Don’t Overcook: Use a meat thermometer to check that the thickest part of each piece reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Bang Bang Sauce: Reserve some sauce before baking so you can drizzle it over the chicken when serving.
  • Serving: Brown rice makes a great side dish, but you can also serve the chicken with white rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
  • Garnish: Fresh chopped parsley adds a bright finishing touch.
