Description

This Black Forest Cheesecake combines a rich chocolate crust, creamy chocolate-infused cheesecake, and a sweet cherry topping for the ultimate dessert inspired by the classic Black Forest cake.

Ingredients

    • For the Crust:
    • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
    • 4 tbsp melted butter

    • For the Cheesecake:
    • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • 1/2 cup melted dark chocolate

  • For the Topping:
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • Chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease an 8-inch or 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Mix chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter and press into the bottom of the pan. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing just until combined.
  5. Mix in vanilla, sour cream, and melted dark chocolate until fully incorporated.
  6. Pour cheesecake batter over the crust.
  7. Bake 45–55 minutes, or until the center is mostly set but slightly jiggly.
  8. Turn off oven, crack the door open, and let cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
  9. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Top with cherry pie filling and sprinkle with chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

  • Use good-quality dark chocolate for the best flavor.
  • Cheesecake slices cleaner when fully chilled.
  • Homemade cherry topping can be used instead of canned.
