Ingredients
- 450g ground pork
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground pork, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, sage, thyme, crushed red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
- Shape mixture into 2-inch wide patties.
- (Optional) Refrigerate patties for 20–30 minutes to help them hold their shape.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly oil if using lean meat.
- Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer to paper towels to drain excess grease.
- Serve hot, or store once cooled.
