Description

A festive wreath made with brie cheese and cranberry sauce, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz Brie cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (whole berry or jellied)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
  • Fresh cranberries (for garnish)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place a small oven-safe bowl (about 4 inches diameter) in the center of the baking sheet as a guide for the wreath shape.
  3. Roll out puff pastry sheets slightly and cut each sheet into 8 triangular strips (16 triangles total).
  4. Arrange the triangles in a circle around the bowl, wide ends overlapping in the center, pointed ends outward.
  5. Place Brie cubes on the wide overlapping section of each triangle. Add cranberry sauce on top. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and rosemary.
  6. Fold pointed ends over the filling and tuck underneath the center to form a wreath. Remove the bowl.
  7. Mix beaten egg with 1 tablespoon water and brush over the wreath for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
  9. Let cool 5 minutes and transfer to a serving platter.
  10. Garnish with rosemary sprigs, cranberries, and lightly dust with powdered sugar if desired.
  11. Serve warm with extra cranberry sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Ensure puff pastry is fully thawed for easy handling.
  • The wreath can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
  • Feel free to vary nuts or herbs to taste.
