- For the Jambalaya Ramen:
- 2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning)
- ½ lb smoked beef sausage or chicken sausage (halal), sliced
- ½ lb shrimp (peeled & deveined)
- 1 small onion, diced
- ½ green bell pepper, diced
- ½ red bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 3 cups chicken broth (halal)
- 1 cup crushed tomatoes
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the wings: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss wings with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Arrange on a baking sheet lined with foil. Bake 35–40 minutes until crispy and cooked through, flipping halfway. Toss wings in BBQ sauce, honey, and hot sauce (if using) before serving.
- Cook the jambalaya ramen: In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté sausage, shrimp, onion, and bell peppers until shrimp is cooked and vegetables are softened. Add garlic, Cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika; cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add liquids and noodles: Stir in chicken broth, crushed tomatoes, and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer. Add ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions until tender.
- Serve: Divide jambalaya ramen into bowls. Top with Cajun BBQ wings and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra spice, increase Cajun seasoning or add a dash of cayenne.
- Substitute ramen noodles with udon or rice noodles for a different texture.
- Wings can be grilled instead of baked for smoky flavor.
