Description

This cheesy baked olive dip is a creamy, crowd-pleasing appetizer packed with salty, briny olive flavor and topped with golden melted cheese. Perfect for parties and easy to make ahead.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz full-fat sour cream (room temperature)
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella (divided)
  • 2 oz shredded Parmesan (divided)
  • 1 (6 oz) can black olives, sliced
  • 1 (6 oz) can green olives, sliced
  • Kosher salt
  • Fresh cracked pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix sour cream, cream cheese, garlic, half the mozzarella, and half the Parmesan with salt and pepper until smooth.
  3. Fold in sliced olives gently.
  4. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  7. Broil for 1–2 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Let cream cheese and sour cream come to room temperature for easier mixing.
  • Reserve some olives for garnish for better presentation.
  • Serve with bread, crackers, or toasted baguette slices.
