Description

This Cilantro Lime Crema recipe is bold, bright, and herby. Whip it up in minutes and serve with chips or drizzle it on top of tacos.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 bunch cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • 1 cup sour cream


Instructions

  1. Place the cilantro, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, lime juice, and sour cream in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Serve immediately with chips or drizzle over tacos, burrito bowls, or grilled meats.

Notes

  • Substitute sour cream with half mayonnaise and half heavy whipping cream, crema mexicana, Greek yogurt, or plain yogurt.
  • To reduce the tanginess, add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise.
  • For an extra creamy sauce, add 1/2 bar of softened cream cheese to the blender.
  • To make it spicy, add a roasted jalapeño, roasted poblano pepper, or a can of green chiles before blending.
