Description

Creamy Blackened Salmon with Shrimp is a decadent seafood dish featuring perfectly seared blackened salmon and shrimp smothered in a rich, garlicky cream sauce. Perfect for an elegant weeknight dinner or special occasion.

Ingredients

  • For the Salmon & Shrimp:
  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 1214 medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp blackened seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • For the Cream Sauce:
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (optional)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Season & Sear the Seafood: Pat salmon dry and season with blackened seasoning, salt, and pepper. Season shrimp the same way. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high. Sear salmon 3–4 minutes per side until blackened and flaky. Remove and set aside. Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  2. Make the Creamy Sauce: Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic, cooking until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a gentle simmer. Add Parmesan and Cajun seasoning, whisking until slightly thickened. Finish with lemon juice and parsley.
  3. Assemble the Dish: Return salmon and shrimp to skillet, spooning sauce over top. Simmer 2–3 minutes to absorb flavors.
  4. Serve: Pair with rice, mashed potatoes, pasta, or crusty bread. Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Use fresh seafood for best results.
  • Adjust blackened seasoning to taste for mild or extra spice.
  • Serve immediately to preserve sauce creaminess.
