Description

This Easy Lasagna Creamy Meat is the ultimate comfort food — layers of tender noodles, rich meat sauce, and creamy cheese filling, baked to perfection. Perfect for family dinners or meal prep!


Ingredients

    • Cheese Filling
    • 15 oz ricotta cheese
    • 1 large egg
    • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
    • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
    • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
    • ½ tsp salt
    • ¼ tsp pepper

 

    • Meat Sauce
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 yellow onion, finely diced
    • ¾ lb ground beef
    • ¾ lb ground Italian sausage
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • ½ cup chicken broth
    • 40 oz marinara sauce
    • 1 tbsp tomato paste
    • 1 tsp hot sauce
    • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 12 lasagna noodles (plus a few extras, just in case)
  • 2½ cups mozzarella cheese, for topping


Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles: Boil lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside on parchment to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare the cheese filling: In a medium bowl, combine ricotta, egg, mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
  3. Make the meat sauce: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened. Add ground beef and Italian sausage, breaking up the meat as it cooks until browned.
  4. Add garlic, tomato paste, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and chicken broth. Stir well, then add marinara sauce. Simmer uncovered for 10–15 minutes to thicken slightly.
  5. Assemble the lasagna: Spread 1 cup of meat sauce on the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Layer with noodles, cheese mixture, and more sauce. Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with sauce and mozzarella on top.
  6. Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Let cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use oven-ready noodles to skip boiling for faster prep.
  • Add red pepper flakes for extra heat.
