Description
An elegant steakhouse-style dinner featuring tender filet mignon topped with grilled shrimp and finished with a rich, creamy lobster sauce. Perfect for special occasions or indulgent dinners at home.
Ingredients
- 2 filet mignon steaks
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 200 grams shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup lobster bisque
Instructions
- Remove filet mignon steaks from the refrigerator 20 minutes before cooking to bring to room temperature.
- Season steaks generously on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a heavy skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Transfer to a plate and tent loosely with foil to rest.
- In the same pan, add remaining olive oil. Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink, opaque, and lightly charred. Remove and set aside.
- Warm lobster bisque gently in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally.
- To serve, place each filet mignon on a plate, top with grilled shrimp, and spoon warm lobster sauce over the steak. Serve immediately.
