Ingredients
- 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 8 ounces mushrooms (cremini or button), sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter (or olive oil for vegan option)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
- Fresh herbs to taste (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets. Slice the mushrooms and mince the garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add mushrooms and cook for 5–7 minutes until golden and moisture is released.
- Add cauliflower florets and pour in vegetable broth. Cover and simmer.
- Cook for about 10 minutes until cauliflower is tender-crisp. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Stir in butter until melted. Add lemon juice or herbs if desired. Serve hot.
