Description
Garlic Butter Chicken Pasta is family-friendly, loaded with flavor, and quick to make. Tender chicken slices are served over spaghetti with a rich garlic butter sauce and parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 pound thinly sliced chicken breasts (about 2 medium breasts, halved horizontally)
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp thyme
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 16 oz spaghetti
- 5 tbsp butter
- 8 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp crushed pepper flakes
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ⅔ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
- Salt as needed
- Fresh minced parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil salted water and cook spaghetti al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, then drain.
- Bring chicken to room temperature and pat dry. Season with salt, pepper, bouillon, garlic powder, thyme, and paprika. Rub 1 tbsp olive oil on each side.
- Heat remaining 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 3 min per side until 165°F. Remove and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, melt butter, add garlic and pepper flakes, stir 30 seconds. Add black pepper and half reserved pasta water, bring to simmer.
- Add spaghetti and toss well. Stir in parmesan until evenly distributed. Add more water if needed. Taste and season with salt.
- Slice chicken and serve over pasta, topped with extra parmesan and parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use thinly sliced chicken for faster, even cooking.
- Omit pepper flakes for a milder dish.
- Add Italian or Cajun seasoning for extra flavor.
