These Garlic Mushrooms are juicy, flavorful, and have a meaty texture, making them the perfect complementary side dish for your favorite meals.
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp plant-based or regular butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 lb crimini or baby bella mushrooms
- 1/4 cup white wine (Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, or preferred)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
- 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Melt butter in a medium skillet. Add olive oil, red pepper flakes, and mushrooms. Cook 7-10 minutes over medium heat until mushrooms begin to brown.
- Add white wine and cook until nearly evaporated.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in salt, basil, and parsley. Turn off heat and serve warm.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- These mushrooms are best served immediately but keep well for a few days.
