Description

This Ginger Peach Lemonade is a refreshing and lightly spiced beverage perfect for summer. Sweet ripe peaches and zesty ginger combine with fresh lemon juice to create a flavorful drink for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 2-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 6-8 lemons)
  • 1 cup sugar (for syrup)
  • 1 cup water (for syrup)
  • 5 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh peach slices and ginger pieces, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves completely to make a simple syrup. Let cool.
  2. In a blender, combine sliced peaches, ginger, lemon juice, and the cooled simple syrup. Blend until smooth.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp if desired.
  4. Pour into a large pitcher and add 5 cups cold water. Stir well.
  5. Add ice cubes to glasses, pour lemonade over, and garnish with fresh peach slices and ginger pieces.
  6. Serve chilled and enjoy.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar to the syrup.
  • For extra flavor, let the ginger steep in the simple syrup while it cools.
  • Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
