Heavenly Banana Pudding Cheesecake Bars – a creamy, sweet and irresistible dessert that blends classic banana pudding with velvety cheesecake over a buttery Nilla wafer crust. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or a decadent treat anytime!
Ingredients
For the Crust
- 1½ cups crushed Nilla Wafers
- 5 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Pinch of sea salt
For the Filling
- 1½ (8-oz) blocks cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sugar
- 1½ cups whipped topping
- 1 (3.4-oz) package instant banana pudding mix
- 1¾ cups whole milk
For the Topping
- Whipped topping
- ½ banana, sliced
- 9 Nilla Wafers
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine crushed Nilla wafers, melted butter, sugar, and a pinch of sea salt. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Bake the crust for 8–10 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with sugar until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together banana pudding mix and whole milk until thickened.
- Fold the pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture.
- Fold in the whipped topping until smooth and fully combined.
- Spread the filling evenly over the cooled crust.
- Top with more whipped topping, banana slices, and Nilla wafers.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm enough to slice into bars.
Notes
- For cleaner slices, freeze the bars for 30 minutes before cutting.
- You can replace whole milk with 2% milk, but the texture may be slightly softer.
- Add extra banana slices between layers for stronger banana flavor.
