Description

These Heavenly Neapolitan Cream Cupcakes feature a soft vanilla base with a luscious Neapolitan cream filling and whipped triple-flavored frosting. Light, creamy, and perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

    • For the Vanilla Cupcakes:
    • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
    • ½ tsp salt
    • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 2 large eggs
    • ½ cup milk
    • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

 

    • For the Neapolitan Cream Filling:
    • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
    • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
    • 3 tbsp powdered sugar
    • ½ tsp vanilla extract
    • 2 tbsp strawberry jam
    • 2 tbsp melted chocolate (dark or milk)

 

  • For the Frosting:
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pink gel coloring (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder


Instructions

  1. Bake the Cupcakes: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Fill liners ¾ full and bake 16–18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  2. Make the Neapolitan Filling: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla; whip until fluffy. Divide into three bowls: Vanilla cream plain, Strawberry cream with jam, Chocolate cream with melted chocolate. Transfer each to piping bags.
  3. Fill the Cupcakes: Cut a small core from each cooled cupcake. Pipe a bit of each flavor (vanilla, strawberry, chocolate) into every cupcake to create a Neapolitan center.
  4. Prepare the Frosting: Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Divide into three bowls: Tint one pink, add cocoa powder to one, leave one white. Pipe triple swirls on top using piping bags.
  5. Serve: Top with chocolate shavings or a mini strawberry. Enjoy a light, creamy Neapolitan-inspired treat!
