A delicious honey garlic salmon rice bowl topped with sautéed vegetables. Sweet, savory, and perfectly balanced for a quick, nourishing meal.
Ingredients
- For the Salmon:
- 1 salmon fillet (6–8 oz)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp olive oil
- For the Rice:
- 1/2 cup cooked white or brown rice
- Pinch of salt
- For the Sautéed Veggies:
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (broccoli, bell peppers, carrots, snap peas)
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Optional Garnish:
- Sesame seeds
- Green onions (sliced)
Instructions
- Cook the Rice: Prepare rice according to package instructions and keep warm.
- Cook the Salmon: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season salmon with salt and pepper. Mix honey, soy sauce, and garlic, brush over salmon, and cook 4–5 minutes per side until glazed and cooked through.
- Sauté the Veggies: Heat olive oil in a skillet, add vegetables, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and sauté 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Assemble the Bowl: Add rice to a bowl, top with salmon and veggies, and drizzle extra honey-garlic sauce from the pan.
- Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use halal-certified soy sauce.
- Do not overcook salmon to keep it moist and flaky.
