Description

This easy 20-minute Honey Lime Chicken is baked with a simple glaze of honey, soy sauce, fresh lime juice, and garlic. The result is juicy chicken with a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors, making it an ideal meal for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (500 g) chicken thighs, deboned, skin-on
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1.5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
  • 1 big pinch salt
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (207°C).
  2. Rub the minced garlic all over the chicken thighs.
  3. Add the honey, soy sauce, lime juice, cayenne pepper, and salt. Toss well to coat the chicken evenly.
  4. Transfer the chicken and marinade to a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover loosely with another sheet of foil to prevent burning.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  6. If the sauce collects in the foil, spoon and brush it over the chicken.
  7. Broil for 1 minute, or until the chicken skin is lightly charred.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with fresh lime wedges.

Notes

  • Double the marinade if you prefer extra sauce.
  • Fresh lime juice provides the best flavor.
  • Serve with steamed rice or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
