Description
This Jalapeño Popper Pizza is made with store-bought pizza dough, a cream cheese base, lots of cheese, and topped with spicy jalapeños. If you love jalapeño poppers, you’ll fall in love with this pizza because it has all the same flavors. This makes a fun appetizer or easy dinner!
Ingredients
- 1 ball pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 fresh jalapeños, sliced and seeds removed (leave seeds for extra heat)
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 cup shredded or sliced mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped chives (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Lightly oil a pizza pan or baking sheet and line with parchment paper.
- Stretch pizza dough into a 10-inch circle and transfer to prepared pan.
- In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over dough, leaving a 3/4–1 inch border.
- Add mozzarella, sprinkle Monterey Jack cheese, then top with jalapeño slices.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Top with chives if using. Cool slightly, slice, and serve.
Notes
- Leave jalapeño seeds for extra heat.
- Add crushed red pepper flakes or hot sauce for more spice.
- Best served fresh and hot.
