Ingredients

- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup fresh parsley or dill, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for gluten-free)
- 1 large egg
For Serving
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
- 2 cups fresh vegetables (lettuce, tomato, cucumber)
- 4 buns or pita bread (whole grain or gluten-free)
Instructions
- Prep: Chop onion, garlic, and herbs. Gather all ingredients.
- Mix: In a large bowl, gently combine chicken, onion, garlic, feta, herbs, oregano, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, lemon zest, lemon juice, breadcrumbs, and egg.
- Form: Shape into 4 even patties about ¾-inch thick.
- Grill: Preheat grill to medium-high. Cook 6–7 minutes per side until internal temp reaches 165°F.
- Pan-sear: Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Cook 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
- Bake: Bake at 375°F for 20–25 minutes.
- Air fry: Air fry at 375°F for 12–14 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Serve: Place patties in buns or pita, top with tzatziki and fresh vegetables.
