Description

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cauliflower florets, lightly steamed
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, lightly steamed
  • 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook sliced sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Add onion and cook until softened.
  5. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  6. Add cream cheese and stir until melted.
  7. Pour in heavy cream and whisk until smooth.
  8. Simmer over medium-low heat until slightly thickened.
  9. Stir in cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
  10. In a large bowl, combine cauliflower, broccoli, and sausage.
  11. Pour cheese sauce over the mixture and stir well.
  12. Transfer to a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  13. Bake for 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  14. Serve hot.
