Ingredients

    • 2 cups All-purpose flour
    • 1 tbsp Baking powder
    • 1 tsp Baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp Salt
    • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
    • 3/4 cup Brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup Maple syrup
    • 1 cup Buttermilk
    • 2 Eggs
    • 1 cup Chopped pecans
    • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted

 

    • For the Streusel Topping
    • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
    • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
    • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter, cubed
    • 1/2 cup Chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin.
  2. Whisk dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, combine brown sugar, maple syrup, buttermilk, eggs, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Fold wet ingredients into dry mixture until just combined. Stir in chopped pecans.
  5. For streusel, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter until crumbly. Fold in pecans.
  6. Divide batter into muffin cups and top with streusel.
  7. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool in tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
