An easy Pan Fried Chicken recipe featuring juicy chicken breasts with a flavorful garlic butter pan sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
Ingredients
- Chicken & Seasoning
- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- Pan Sauce
- 1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth (halal option)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 6 garlic cloves, smashed
- 4 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon each: basil, oregano, onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 3-4 tablespoons salted butter
- Fresh lemon slices, for serving
Instructions
- Combine chicken broth and seasonings (basil, oregano, onion powder, seasoned salt) in a bowl and set aside.
- Slice chicken in half lengthwise, cover with plastic wrap, and pound to 1/2-inch thickness. Pat dry.
- Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4 minutes per side until golden. Set aside.
- Turn heat off, add white wine (or broth), then chicken broth + seasonings, smashed garlic, and thyme. Simmer until reduced by half.
- Reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter and chicken back to skillet, basting with sauce for 1-2 minutes.
- Serve with fresh lemon slices and your choice of sides.

- Use non-alcoholic wine or chicken broth for halal-friendly version.
- Do not overheat butter to avoid separation.
