Description

Peach Crisp is a delicious summertime dessert made with juicy fresh peaches and topped with a rich, buttery brown sugar crumble. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for the ultimate comfort dessert.


Ingredients

  • 8 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup organic sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, sliced
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and brown sugar. Add 1 cup butter and mix until the mixture becomes crumbly.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  4. Place the peeled and sliced peaches into a large bowl and toss with the sugar mixture until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the peaches to a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  6. Scatter the remaining 1/4 cup sliced butter over the peaches.
  7. Spread the crumb topping evenly over the fruit.
  8. Bake uncovered for 45–55 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  9. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
