Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb flank steak or skirt steak
  • For the marinade:
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
    • 1 teaspoon sesame or vegetable oil
  • For vegetables and seasoning:
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
    • 1 large green bell pepper, sliced
    • 1 large red bell pepper, sliced
    • 12 jalapeno peppers, sliced (optional)
    • 1 medium white onion, sliced
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • For the pepper steak sauce:
    • ¼ cup soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
    • 1 tablespoon corn starch
    • 1 teaspoon brown sugar or honey
    • 1 teaspoon paprika or cayenne for heat
    • Ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  7. Serve hot over rice, garnish with chili flakes or scallions if desired.
