Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • ½ medium yellow onion, chopped
  • ½ tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 pound ground turkey (97% lean)
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • â…” cup diced pineapple
  • ½ cup salsa
  • taco shells (as needed)
  • sliced red cabbage
  • diced red bell pepper
  • shredded lettuce
  • sliced avocado
  • fresh cilantro
  • lime juice


Instructions

  1. Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook for 3–4 minutes.
  2. Add ground turkey and taco seasoning. Cook until turkey begins to brown.
  3. Stir in pineapple and salsa, then simmer until turkey is fully cooked.
  4. Assemble tacos with turkey mixture and desired toppings.
  5. Finish with cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice before serving.
