Description
Pumpkin Spice Tiramisu – a cozy, fall-inspired twist on the classic Italian dessert. This no-bake treat features creamy pumpkin mascarpone layers, espresso-soaked ladyfingers, warm spices, and a dusting of cocoa or cinnamon. Perfect for autumn gatherings, Thanksgiving, or anytime you want a festive dessert that’s effortless and elegant.
Ingredients
- 1 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese (or cream cheese as a substitute)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1.5 tsp pumpkin pie spice (or 1 tsp cinnamon + ¼ tsp each nutmeg, ginger, and cloves)
- 24 ladyfinger cookies (savoiardi)
- ¾ cup strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled
- 2 tbsp coffee liqueur, rum, or bourbon (optional)
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder or cinnamon for dusting
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together mascarpone, pumpkin puree, sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the pumpkin mascarpone mixture until fully combined. Do not overmix.
- In a shallow dish, combine brewed coffee with optional liqueur. Quickly dip each ladyfinger for 1–2 seconds—do not soak.
- Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of an 8×8 or similar dish.
- Spread half of the pumpkin cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat with a second layer of dipped ladyfingers and top with the remaining cream.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, dust with cocoa powder or cinnamon.
Notes
- For a stronger coffee flavor, brush additional espresso onto the ladyfingers.
- Chill overnight for the best texture and flavor.
- You can make this alcohol-free by skipping the liqueur.
- Use firm savoiardi ladyfingers, not soft sponge ones.
- Great made 1–2 days ahead for stress-free entertaining.
