These fudgy Red Velvet Brownies are an easy chocolatey treat perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. Soft, moist, and loaded with flavor.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 oz chopped semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1/2 tbsp red gel food coloring
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional, for mixing in or drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and chopped chocolate in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
- Add sugar and mix until combined, then add eggs one at a time, beating well. Stir in vanilla, vinegar, and red food coloring.
- Sift together cocoa powder, flour, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix. Fold in white chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely in the pan, optionally drizzle with melted white chocolate, slice, and enjoy!
Notes
- Do not overmix the batter to keep brownies soft and fudgy.
- White chocolate chips are optional but add extra sweetness.
