Description

These fudgy Red Velvet Brownies are an easy chocolatey treat perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. Soft, moist, and loaded with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 oz chopped semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp red gel food coloring
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional, for mixing in or drizzling)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter and chopped chocolate in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
  3. Add sugar and mix until combined, then add eggs one at a time, beating well. Stir in vanilla, vinegar, and red food coloring.
  4. Sift together cocoa powder, flour, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix. Fold in white chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Cool completely in the pan, optionally drizzle with melted white chocolate, slice, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to keep brownies soft and fudgy.
  • White chocolate chips are optional but add extra sweetness.
