Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage (Italian or smoked)
  • 4 cups green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (mixed colors)
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Slice sausage into bite-sized pieces. Chop cabbage into thin strips and dice bell peppers and onion.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add onion and garlic; sauté 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add cabbage and bell peppers; stir-fry until vegetables are tender yet crisp.
  5. Pour in soy sauce and red pepper flakes. Stir and cook 5 more minutes.
  6. Taste, adjust seasoning if needed, and serve hot.
