Description

Juicy salmon baked at home in 30 minutes with butter infused with lemon and garlic for maximum flavor. Easy, restaurant-quality, and perfect for a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 to 1.75 pounds skin-on salmon fillet
  • 1 lemon, sliced into thin rounds
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons honey
  • 5 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Place salmon on foil with skin-side down, edges raised to contain buttery mixture. Nestle lemon slices underneath salmon.
  2. Melt butter in microwave-safe bowl, stir in lemon juice, honey, and garlic. Pour ¾ over salmon; reserve remainder.
  3. Season salmon with salt and pepper.
  4. Seal foil tightly; optionally marinate 10–15 minutes for enhanced flavor.
  5. Bake salmon in foil for 17 minutes.
  6. Remove top foil, set oven to Hi broil. Spoon reserved buttery mixture over salmon if desired.
  7. Broil 5–10 minutes until salmon is golden. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Broil on second rack to reduce risk of burning; exact time depends on oven and salmon thickness.
  • Salmon is best fresh but will keep airtight in fridge up to 3 days.
