Description

Slow Cooker Beef Manhattan is a heartwarming dish featuring tender slow-cooked beef in rich gravy, served over toasted bread and fluffy mashed potatoes.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 4 slices bread, toasted
  • 2 cups brown gravy


Instructions

  1. Season beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
  2. Place roast in slow cooker with sliced onion and minced garlic.
  3. Pour beef broth over ingredients, cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  4. Shred beef with two forks and stir back into broth.
  5. Serve shredded beef over toasted bread, topped with mashed potatoes and smothered in brown gravy.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
