Description
Sticky honey-sriracha chicken noodles with a fiery garlic glaze. Sweet, spicy, and garlicky noodles that are quick and bold for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- For the Chicken:
- 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast (thinly sliced)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- For the Noodles:
- 8 oz noodles (lo mein, ramen, or spaghetti)
- Salt for boiling water
- For the Honey-Sriracha Glaze:
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1½ tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar or lime juice
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- For the Garlic Base:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Optional Garnish:
- Green onions (sliced)
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Cook the Noodles: Boil noodles in salted water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Chicken: Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Cook 3–4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Prepare the Glaze: Whisk honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
- Make the Fiery Garlic Base: Melt butter in the same skillet. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook 30–45 seconds until fragrant.
- Combine Everything: Pour glaze into skillet and simmer 1–2 minutes until thickened. Return chicken, add noodles, and toss until coated.
- Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust sriracha for desired heat level.
- Use halal chicken and soy sauce.
