Description

These Strawberry Kiss Cookies feature soft, buttery strawberry-flavored dough topped with a classic chocolate kiss. Finished with a light dusting of powdered sugar, they’re festive, sweet, and irresistible.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)
  • 2 cups + 2 tbsp (280g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry-flavored gelatin mix
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
  • 2430 chocolate kiss candies, unwrapped


Instructions

  1. Beat butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
  2. Add egg, vanilla, and almond extract (if using) and mix well. Stir in strawberry gelatin powder.
  3. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually mix into wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  4. Roll dough into 1-tablespoon balls and place on a lined baking sheet. Chill for at least 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange dough balls 2 inches apart on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 11–13 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  7. Let cookies rest 2 minutes, then gently press a chocolate kiss into the center.
  8. Transfer to wire rack and cool completely until chocolate sets.
