Description

The Best Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes are loaded with ground beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and melted provolone cheese. A fun twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded (or Cheez Whiz for a traditional touch)
  • 46 hamburger buns
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and green bell pepper; cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  5. Reduce heat to low and sprinkle shredded provolone over the beef mixture. Cover to melt cheese, 2–3 minutes.
  6. Toast hamburger buns until lightly golden.
  7. Spoon beef and cheese mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with the other half and garnish with parsley.
