Description

Valentine’s Thumbprint Cookies are buttery cookies with white chocolate centers and festive pink heart decorations—perfect for Valentine’s Day gifting or treats.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cups flour, sifted
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 pkg White Chocolate Almond Bark
  • Red food coloring gel
  • Neon pink food coloring gel
  • Assorted Valentine sprinkles (red, pink, white)

Instructions

  1. Blend butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add vanilla.
  2. Sift flour and salt; gradually add to butter mixture until combined.
  3. Add red food coloring gel drop by drop until desired color is achieved.
  4. Roll dough into 1 1/2-inch balls and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Press thumb or knuckle into center of each cookie to create indentation.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes until lightly golden; cool completely on wire rack.
  7. Melt white chocolate almond bark and fill cookie centers; dip bottoms in melted chocolate and sprinkles.
  8. Melt remaining white chocolate, tint with neon pink gel, and decorate cookies with hearts and drizzle.
  9. Allow chocolate to set at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • White Chocolate Almond Bark melts smoothly and tastes better than most melting chocolates.
  • If chocolate thickens, add a few drops of heavy cream to thin it.
