Description

Rich and creamy white pasta sauce made without heavy cream, perfect for an easy, flavorful weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Penne Pasta
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta to al dente according to package instructions.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook 1 minute.
  3. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute until slightly thickened.
  4. Slowly whisk in milk and chicken broth, stirring constantly until sauce boils and thickens.
  5. Add parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper; stir until cheese melts.
  6. Stir in cooked pasta and serve immediately.
