Description
These Sticky Sweet Chili Chicken Thighs are the easiest and tastiest chicken thighs. Air fry or bake for a quick, delicious weeknight meal with perfectly caramelized sticky glaze.
Ingredients
- 8 chicken thighs, bone-in or boneless
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Sticky Glaze:
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat chicken thighs dry with a paper towel.
- Season chicken with avocado oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Air fry chicken skin side down for 15 minutes.
- Mix sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil in a small bowl for the glaze.
- Baste chicken a few times with the sticky glaze while cooking to caramelize (about 3 times).
- Cook an additional 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- For extra crispy caramelized skin, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end.
- Remove chicken and let rest a few minutes before serving.
- Serve over jasmine rice or with vegetables.
Notes
- Oven: Roast skin side down for 20 minutes at 400°F, flip and roast 10 more minutes.
- Ensure chicken is patted dry for crispy skin.
- Broil at the end for extra sticky caramelized glaze.
