Description

These Sticky Sweet Chili Chicken Thighs are the easiest and tastiest chicken thighs. Air fry or bake for a quick, delicious weeknight meal with perfectly caramelized sticky glaze.


Ingredients

  • 8 chicken thighs, bone-in or boneless
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Sticky Glaze:
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat chicken thighs dry with a paper towel.
  3. Season chicken with avocado oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Air fry chicken skin side down for 15 minutes.
  5. Mix sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil in a small bowl for the glaze.
  6. Baste chicken a few times with the sticky glaze while cooking to caramelize (about 3 times).
  7. Cook an additional 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. For extra crispy caramelized skin, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end.
  9. Remove chicken and let rest a few minutes before serving.
  10. Serve over jasmine rice or with vegetables.

Notes

  • Oven: Roast skin side down for 20 minutes at 400°F, flip and roast 10 more minutes.
  • Ensure chicken is patted dry for crispy skin.
  • Broil at the end for extra sticky caramelized glaze.
